Bay City, Mich.  –  McLaren Bay Medical Foundation is teaming up with the Real Seafood Company, the newest restaurant to hit Uptown Bay City, to host a VIP grand opening celebration one day before opening to the general public. The VIP event, which will be held on Tuesday, May 5th, offers a 4-course dinner selection from a specialty menu with wine pairings. Menu offerings include seafood, steak, chicken and vegetarian selections. Those who plan on attending the VIP grand opening celebration at Real Seafood Company should call (888) 456-3463 to make a dinner reservation for any time between 5pm to 10pm, and also notify the Foundation by calling (989) 895-4728, or by emailing Alysa Matthews at Alysa.Matthews@mclaren.org  The cost of this exclusive event is $100 per person (tax and tip included), with 60% of the ticket price to benefit the McLaren Bay Medical Foundation’s Behavioral Health Campaign.

The official ribbon cutting ceremony conducted by the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce will take place on Tuesday, May 5th at 5pm outside, at the front entrance of the Real Seafood Company.   Mayor Christopher Shannon and the Chamber Ambassadors welcome Michael Gibbons, president and CEO of Mainstreet Ventures and the Real Seafood Company to the area.  The general public can attend the outdoor ribbon cutting ceremony, however, tickets to the VIP celebration inside the restaurant are required and are based on a first come, first served basis.  Advanced tickets to the VIP event are recommended.  For more information about Bay Area Chamber of Commerce contact Ms. Jesse Pero, director of sales and marketing at 989-893-4567.

The Real Seafood Company of Bay City officially opens their doors to the public on Wednesday, May 6th, 2015 at 11am for lunch and dinner service.  Real Seafood Company specializes in the freshest fish and premium seafood from the waters of the Atlantic, the Pacific, the Great Lakes and the Gulf of Mexico.   The spacious new restaurant has two levels of outdoor seating; the upper Mezzanine and lower level patio seating, with total outdoor seating capacity over 200 guests, both overlooking the Saginaw River.  The indoor space features a main dining room, bar and lounge and a private dining room, with total indoor seating capacity up to 250 guests.  The outdoor space includes a patio bar with a fire pit and heated sidewalks.  Total seating capacity is up to 450 guests, and the entire restaurant can occasionally be reserved for large private events.  The menu features “Quite Simply, Seafood As It Should Be” with fresh fish and premium seafood from Foley’s of Boston, the finest purveyor of fresh fish in the country. The menu features local and seasonal items freshly prepared and uniquely styled.  The Raw Bar showcases jumbo shrimp, clams, crab and a wide variety of fresh oysters from both coasts. High quality steaks, chicken, pasta, soup, salads, and sandwiches are also offered along with a number gluten-free menu options.  Open for both lunch and dinner, the restaurant also features carry-out menus with dockside delivery to boats, and private dining menu options for large banquets and corporate events.
